In terms of plot, it follows after the events of Trails of Cold Steel IV, acting as an epilogue of sorts, and although you’ll find a wave of independent enjoyment and entertainment from playing this upcoming release as a newcomer, some hardcore fans may argue that you can only truly enjoy Trails into Reverie to its absolute utmost when you’ve played them all in chronological order. Trails into Reverie had first released in August 2020 in Japan for the PS4, later porting to various other platforms (the Switch, and Windows PCs) in 2021 and so forth. For everyone else, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get on board with the series, as they all tend to feed into one another, and that’s certainly the case with the new one, The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, which now has a release date for the West.
